Is the Internet Just A Fad?

Prince[lastfm]Prince[/lastfm] thinks so. See why inside!

In a recent interview with The Daily Mirror, the purple one explained why you won’t be finding him or his music online:

“The internet’s completely over,” he explained. “I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it, and then they get angry when they can’t get it.”

“The internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers, and that can’t be good for you.”

Does Prince have a point, or is he trippin’ out?

Prince is right. At one point the internet was a really big hype…not its…get on, check your facebook and twitter and email and go. I am tech savvy and love keeping up with technology but if its not about paying bills, searching for jobs, or getting on facebook and twitter….the net is dead. Its boring these days.

Love a man with a brain. Black folks scared to stand against white media. A man who can take a stand is real leader.

The rest of these celebs are robots

    or

New age slaves ( they have to do what they are told to do period; music execs control every aspect of their lives)

I agree with prince. If we take our music off the internet the business of selling music can get back to the way it was and more artist would be able to sell their music and get paid again. It’s become to easy now for anyone to download your music on the internet and the artist not be paid a dime. One person downloads it and then gives it to everyone for free. The internet has crippled music. Let’s get back to selling CD’s that are pirate protected from copying and performance royalties.

and yes i think the royal purple, is right on the money, we as americans get so caught up in the right now and it going to be a passing fad.so we going to have to pay all the artists there proper due, simply cause they deserve it.they made the music to make a living, and we should never take advantage of them.
