Moments ago, rap’s hottest new artist [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Wiz Khalifa[/lastfm] finished up his epic Coachella set. We have the earliest and exclusive photos! Check out the pics and our breakdown of one of the best performances at the music festival of the year.
With temperatures breaking 103 degrees, Wiz started his set by warning his fans to stay safe and hydrated. (“Drink some water, man. Don’t pass out up in this sh*t, Bro.”) He opened his performance with a tribute to the recently deceased [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nate Dogg[/lastfm], then segued into a classic from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bone Thugs-N-Harmony[/lastfm].
Wiz went into cuts from his album and stopped for a moment to give the crowd props for standing in the brutal heat. He went on to reflect on the days when he was just a fan, then let the re-energized audience know that he appreciated them and all the effort they went through to get there on one of the hottest days of the season. Wiz closed his set with his breakthrough hit “Black and Yellow.” The fans went wild for their hero.
Come back all weekend for Coachella updates.
Thanks to our our friend Menace for the killer pics!
