From Mixtape to BET’s 106 & Park, He is a part of the New school of rappers You should keep your eyes on Philly’s own Gilbere Forte (pronounced jil-bear), i got to catch up with him at Bamboozle 2011 ….
This years Bamboozle 2011 was insane, there were artists from all over the music spectrum in attendance. Lil Wayne, New Boyz (your a jerk), Wiz Khalifa, Travie Mccoy, Bruno Mars , Lil B , Pusha T and like a gazillion more people. It was a 3 day weekend at the Meadowlands stadium (Giants/Jets Stadium) in New Jersey. While I enjoy the big names, I am big on the new and up and coming artists. One of my favorites was in attendance this weekend Gilbere Forte’ (pronounced jil-bear). After he killed the Spitters stage Saturday afternoon, he gave me a couple minutes to catch up with his success. Check out his site for all the new music he is dropping , www.gilbereforte.com. He currently has a remix for “Everyday Coolin” song with Swizz Beatz and Eve, “Set Fire To The Rain” with Adele and many more. You can also follow him on twitter @gilbereforte . He had 2 videos on 106 & Park that took off “Black Chukkas” and “Im so Apalled”. This is an artist you might want to get hip to if you want to hear the rebirth of hip hop in the new school.
