Whitney Houston has reportedly voluntarily entered rehab to combat her drug and alcohol problems.
According to TMZ, the Million Dollar Bill singer checked into an out-patient rehabilitation program ten days ago, claiming that the move is part of Houston’s plans to prepare for a new movie.
A spokesperson for the 47-year old has confirmed that the star is back in rehab, stating to People magazine: “Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab program for drug and alcohol treatment.”
They added: “Whitney voluntarily entered the program to support her long-standing recovery process.”
It is thought that Whitney is hoping to work with actress Angela Bassett on a sequel to the 1995 flick, Waiting To Exhale, despite not actually appearing on the big screen for over a decade.
Houston had previously declared herself clean in 2009 after being constantly plagued by her addiction to drugs, including marijuana and rock cocaine – resulting in her being admitted to rehab in 2004 and 2005.
