For the fourth year in a row, Education Week, a main education publication, has ranked Maryland public schools first in the nation.
Education Week gave Maryland the overall rating of a “B+.” Massachusetts, New York, and Virginia tailed Maryland with a B average. Chris Swanson, vice president of editorial projects at Education Week, says Maryland “is an example of an all-around strong performer.”
The District of Columbia came in with a “C-” average.
