Service for Kids
At the National Children’s Museum Launch Zone at the National Harbor, Md.
Kids can make their own “I Have A Dream”… catchers and “Valentines for Veterans” service project. Saturday 11am to 4 pm and Monday from 11am to 2pm.
The National Park Service will hang a wreath on the newly opened MLK Memorial in observance of his 83rd birthday. That’s happening Sunday at noon.

The Anacostia MLK Day Parade takes place along Martin Luther King Junior Avenue and Milwaukee Place in Southeast DC. This after an eight-year hiatus and the grand marshals are local boxing champion Lamont Peterson and his brother Anthony
The parade will also include the Ballou Marching Band and local civil rights leaders.
