The story of a Nigerian activist who died fighting his cause comes to life in the Off- Broadway production of Fela! The Musical. Tickets on sale now.

One of Broadway’s newest musicals finds its way to Washington, DC on its world tour. For just four nights, the DMV will be able to experience the legacy and music of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Nigerian activist who died fighting against the excesses of the military and injustice in his country. In 2009, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Shawn “[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jay Z[/lastfm]” Carter came to Fela! as producers and after being nominated for 11 Tony Awards, “Fela! The Musical” finally makes its way Off- Broadway and across the US, making a stop right here in the DMV this week. Tickets are on sale now!
