Whitney Houston’s Family Told She Died From Rx NOT Drowning!
[photogallerylink id=102428 align=left]While Houston was found dead in the bath tub, L.A. County Coroner officials reported to her family that she did NOT die from drowning, rather from a combination of Xanax and other prescription drugs mixed with alcohol.
TMZ was told that Coroner officials said there was not enough water in her lungs for her cause of death to be drowning. Other sources say her family was informed that she was dead before her head went under water.
Additionally, family sources told TMZ Whitney’s aunt, Mary Jones, was the one who found her body in the bath tub.
TMZ reports, “Mary had laid out Whitney’s dress for the evening on the bed and then left for about a half hour. When Whitney didn’t come out of the bathroom, Mary entered, pulled Whitney out of the tub and began administering CPR.”
Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, has arranged to have the singer’s body flown back to Atlanta, “as early as tomorrow.”
TMZ additionally mentioned that the family was told there was no problem releasing the body because there is no “evidence of foul play.”
