Matthew Carr, 22, from Baltimore has been charged for beating his 5-year-old daughter to death with his own bare hands. Carr admitted that he punched his daughter, Mya, numerous times all over her body with his fist because she had wet herself.

Although Carr did not have custody of his daughter, Mya, she was alone with him at his home at the time of her death. She died on Monday of multiple internal injuries.

According to the police Carr called 911 to report that his daughter was being unresponsive in the bathtub.

Once the paramedics arrived, they found Mya lying down on the bathroom floor in Carr’s home. Her small body was entirely covered in bruises and multiple fractures to her face, ribs, arms and legs.

Evidence was found by the police that there was a clean up attempt in the bathroom. A strong odor of bleach was filled the air and children’s clothing was just washed in the sink. The five year old was taken to Sinai hospital where doctors documented all of her gruesome injuries. Blood near the child’s vagina was also found.

Donny Moses of the Baltimore police told CBS Baltimore. “Some of her injuries would indicate that she had been abused in the past.”

Carr is considered a flight risk, therefore he is being held without bond.
