[photogallerylink id=41571 align=left]The NBA has fined New York Knicks guard J.R Smith $25,000 for tweeting a semi-nude picture of a woman on his twitter account.

The model was lying on his hotel bed in a thong, showing off her “artificially-enhanced butt to taunt her former boyfriend, who is a no-name NY rapper,” according to Sandra Rose.

Although Smith later removed the picture, the NBA still saw it and fined him.

On Friday Smith told Milwaukee reporters that he regretted the tweet.

“I didn’t know it was going to be as big a deal as it is now,” He told reporters. “I definitely regret it. Anytime I do anything that takes away from our team, I’m definitely going to regret it.”

Smith is not going to appeal the fine and apologized to the model by tweeting:

“Sorry for my last tweet @TheRealTahiry n @JoeBudden I see y’all will never be done so I’ll step aside an chalk this one up! #koldGame!”
