[photogallerylink id=92574 align=left]To the 11 million Twitter followers of Nicki Minaj…To her fellow Barbz and Kenz…and especially to her fan sites…it must be a bit of a let down to hear the recent Nicki news. Nicki Minaj HAS, indeed, deleted her Twitter after a short series of drama.
Twitter has always been known for drama, right? Well Nicki’s Twitter drama began after Nicki’s biggest fan site, “Nicki Daily,” LEAKED songs from her upcoming album, ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.’
This led to Nicki blocking the Nicki Daily Twitter, which then led to a fued between the Nicki fans. Some fans sided with Nicki’s stance, other’s with Nicki Daily’s.
Now, something to remember about Nicki Minaj…sure she comes off as more of a “character” than your regular 29 year old…but she IS human, she IS a woman, and she DOES have feelings! And these feelings were hurt, just like anyone else’s would be, after her fans decided to bash her repeatedly and continuously.
Soon Nicki would delete her Twitter, but not before she tweeted a few last times:
-And that’s exactly why I’m paying the barbz DUST right now! And deleting my twitter. Smdh – don’t cry 4 me Argentina”
-On 2nd thought I’ll just follow a new set of barbz. The ones I follow r very mean and ratchet. *side eyes them*
-Exactly. Posted leaked music! *deletin twttr* RT @NickiBarbPink: @NickiDaily kno why they got blocked.
-Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good f*cking bye
The fan site, Nicki Daily’s Twitter is also deleted, and when you try to visit the site it redirects to “nicki-minaj.org”
The fame, the fans and the criticism that Nicki has received in such a short amount of time would, eventually, get to anyone. So, it almost sounds as if the young rapper and singer, could be having a meltdown. Hours put into constant work with all of this hate thrown at a person really could be too “much a person can take.”
On her new album, she explains a taste of the fame she has received saying:
“It’s very hard, mentally, this sh*t is draining. For you to be able to get up there and do music that people love and do interviews with a smile on your face and act like this sh*t ain’t getting to you, it’s draining.
“That’s why so many artists go on drugs or become alcoholics. When I was coming up, I never understood it. I used to be like, ‘What? They are so ungrateful, why are they on drugs, why don’t they f*cking appreciate their success, I would kill to be where they are’, until you get here and you are like, ‘Lord is this the price I have to pay if I really want this’.”
This fight with her Barbz and Kenz must have been the last straw, and we hope that she only gets better from here. Kinda reminds you how human these artists really are, huh?
