NOW, “Basketball Wives,” is coming to the BIG SCREEN! Shaunie O’Neal and producer Tracey Edmonds have made a deal for the production of a film centering around the “Basketball Wives,” theme.
The Jasmine Brand reported the film will be produced by Edmonds, and O’Neal will co-produce under Edmonds’ “Our Stories Films Inc,” production company.
Still curious as to what the film will be about? Well, here’s the scoop:
“Centered around a young woman who follows her boyfriend to Miami after he gets drafted into the NBA. Thrust into the world of professional sports, she meets and learns from the sisterhood of players’ wives and learns from their trials and tribulations.”
Edmonds additionally confirmed with Variety,
“The beauty of a feature film is that we’ll have the ability to dig much deeper into the stories and characters that come from this very colorful world and create a very juicy action packed narrative.”
