[photogallerylink id=88007 align=right] At a press conference held in New York City today (May 2) for Rick Ross‘ Maybach Music Group (MMG) Ricky Rozay gathered his roster of artists together to announce upcoming music and the newest edition to his MMG family, singer Omarion.

Before Ross got into the upcoming music, Diddy took the mic to discuss their Ciroc vodka endorsement deal, and introduce the man of the hour.

“He’s a record man,” Diddy said. He came up with unorthodox ways to market a record…I respect him and I’m proud of him. I feel he’s one of the great ones. I got a lot of flack when we started working together but I knew he was a great one.”

Ross finally announced the release date to his anticipated fifth studio album, God Forgives I Don’t, which he said is due out July 31.

“This is my best body of work yet, Ross said. God Forgives I Don’t is a very dark story extremely lyrical. The music is the next level. The collaborations are going to surprise a few of you guys. That’s what’s needed…I knew it wasnt going to be about hot beats and hot rhymes.”

The conference was moderated by Elliott Wilson, owner of Rap Radar. Each member of the Maybach family took time to discuss their respective projects. The biggest news came with the announcement of their newest member, former B2K member Omarion.

“Mr. Rozay it’s a pleasure,” Omarion said, with the vocal inflection of a Mafiosa. “Today I become a made man. My history is not a mystery…This whole thing of ours, people have been wondering, What’s up with Omarian. I never been a fan of pop music. But understand what it is when you see me, it’s Maybach Music.”

Ross sang the praises of the sole R&B singer on the MMG roster.

“He’s a phenomenal entertainer,” Ross said. “He’s a dancer an actor a writer… I thought he was the best artist to kick the doors open.

before the conference there was lots of speculation about who Ross would announce as his newest signee, including some rumors that quasi-retired rapper turned pastor Mase might be up for a MMG chain. Ross batted away any further editions in the near future.

This is what I’m focused on,” he said. “I feel lik we’re a dream team. I just let the rumors circulate.”

Here are some of the main points from the MMG press conference:

Omarion will be releasiong an EP and a single, “Let Me See It,” featuring Rick Ross.

Wale may have his own album out in December or early next year, but will be heavily featured on the group album, Self Made Vol. 2 dropping June 26. “Bag of Money” is the album’s first single.

Meek Mill will be dropping Dreams and Nightmares, August 28.

French Montana will be releasing his debut, Excuse My French on July 17. His first single will be “Pop That” featuring Uncle Luke.
