Keyshia Cole Puts “Family First” For New BET Show
[photogallerylink id=92610 align=right] Keyshia Cole‘s TV show, The Way It Is, with its up-close look at her life and family struggles, struck ratings gold for BET. The network has recently announced that Cole will be coming back with another lead role in the unscripted Keyshia Cole: Family First.
The Way It Is, which first aired in 2006, viewers followed Cole as she navigated the life of an R&B star who tried to find balance in her life. The major conflicts began when she tried to manage her rowdy family, including sister Neffe and mother Frankie.
While The Way It Is was a title taken from her 2005 album of the same name, Family First is a working title, according to THR. With the new series, Cole has to manage her new life as a wife to NBA player Daniel Gibson, a mother to a two-year-old boy, as well as a businesswoman and performer.
The six-episode series will premier fall 2012.
