[Poll] TIME Magazine’s Breastfeeding Cover Controversy

Time Magazine’s new cover has ignited a fire of controversy worldwide. From the top worldwide Twitter trend, to headlines everywhere…people can’t get over the cover photo of 26-year-old Southland mom, Jamie Lynn Grumet, breastfeeding her almost FOUR YEAR OLD child. We have the details for you, AND we want to know what you have to say.

The photo is portraying the new phenomenon, “Attachment Moms” or “Attachment Parenting.”

CBS defines ‘Attachment Parenting’ as: “moms breastfeeding as long as possible, sleeping in the same beds as toddlers and spending 24-7 with their brood.”

While some view the photo as “maternal” and cheer the mom on for attempting to desensitize breast feeding to society today, others see the child to be too old to be breastfed.

Grumet recalled to Time how numerous people, who see her breastfeeding in public, threaten to call social services. “Of that it’s child molestation. I really don’t think I can reason with those people.”

What do you think?

I breast its one of the most beautiful bonds a mother and child can have even though I don’t plan to continue after her first year…..I see nothing wrong with it I bet if she was trying to get foodstamps in order to provide milk for him that would create an controversy as well to each its own….
