The Diva of Disco, Donna Summer passed away yesterday, May 17th 2012, from lung cancer. However, Donna believed, wholeheartedly, that her lung cancer came from inhaling toxins in the air after 9/11.
According to TMZ, the singer was living in a New York City apartment near Ground Zero.
Sources close to the singer tell TMZ what we were hearing this morning — that Donna was in New York City during 9/11, living at an apartment near Ground Zero.
Donna began to fear breathing in the air that had a putrid smell. As years went by, Donna grew even more weary and anxious. A source has told TMZ that whenever he was around the Disco Queen, she would ALWAYS spray a disinfectant in the air.
TMZ additionally reports that, Deney Terrio, the host of “Dance Fever,” said “when he was around Donna post 9/11, she would hang silk sheets in her dressing room to prevent dust from coming in.”
Donna Summer was a strong, practicing Christian. It has been reported that she also “believed 9/11 was an attack on Christianity and in some metaphysical way Christians like her were targets.”
Though after she was diagnosed with the cancer, numerous people told her the cancer could be from her smoking habits, and from always being in clubs with smoke, but she never believed it.
