Mary J. Blige flips Journey’s “Any Way You Want It” from the set of a strip club in her new Rock of Ages video.

The video is for the upcoming screen adaptation of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages.

In the movie and, apparently, in the video, Blige plays strip club owner Justice Charlier. Complete with big-hair and glittering throwback jumpsuit, Blige covers Journey’s song for the video. But in the movie, she takes on ’80s classics like Poison’s “Every Rose Has its Thorn” and Quarterflash’s “Harden My Heart.”

According to the film’s official website, Russell Brand, Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin and Julianne Hough will be starring. The film takes place in 1987 on Sunset Strip, and is set to the tunes of glam-band rock and classic ’80s tunes. The story follows the romance and dreams of a small town girl and city-bred boy who are chasing their Hollywood dreams.

Rock of Ages will be hitting theaters June 15. See Mary J. Blige’s cover of “Any Way You Want It” below. --E. Parker, CBS Local
