ATL rapper TI is set to drop his long awaited 8th solo album Trouble Man September 4th a day after airing the second season of his reality series TI and Tiny:Family Hustle . Few details have surfaced about the album until recently after TI’s interview with Shade 45’s Dj Whoo Kid. Although T.I. has yet to finalize the tracklist for Trouble Man, he revealed that he has already recorded collaborations with Andre 3000, Kanye West and Young Jeezy that may make the final cut. He also added that he hopes to collaborate with the likes of Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Santigold before the release nears closer.
In a recent interview with Radio Planet, The King of the South revealed that he has one record with Young Jeezy and Rocko called “Dope Boy Academy,” although he’s not certain if it will make it onto the album. He’s also recorded new material with Kanye West, which he’s reworking.
“When you do records with Kanye, you do the record initially,” says T.I., “then you go back to it and try to perfect some things that you feel you could’ve done better, so I’m in phase two of that. Because when you send it back to him and he does the production different, it’s gonna be a problem.”
T.I. says he and Andre 3000 have also spent time in the studio recently, and he wants to record some future tracks with Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and Santigold.
“I’m trying to stay diversified,” he says ” I’m trying to remain just the guy who will shock the s**t out of you with who he’s on a record with.”
