While in New Zealand this weekend for a slew of concerts Lady Gaga suffered a concussion onstage. During her performance of “Judas” a backup dancer picked up a prop behind her and it fell on her head.
Lady Gaga continued the song without a hitch and besides rubbing the spot on her head seemed unharmed. MTV News reports that she performed 16 more songs and later addressed her injury to the crowd.
“I want to apologize. I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion. But don’t you worry, I will finish this show.”
If her fans were worried Gaga’s make-up artist confirmed that she would be fine.

Meanwhile, in another show in New Zealand Gaga alluded to Madonna’s diss when she discussed being put down midway through performing “Hair” on the piano.
“It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves to put other people down, make fun of them or maybe make mockery of their work,” she said. “That doesn’t make me feel good at all. That just makes me feel like I’m not being a good human being. I feel like if you’re a really good human being you can try to find something beautiful in every single person no matter what.”
While Gaga admits it’s a challenge, she said she learned so much this year.
“I learned a lot about negativity and I learned a lot about people trying to tear you down. I’m just not that person and I never will be,” she said. “I don’t even want to fight back because it’s more important to me to keep writing music ’cause that’s really all I care about. I am my music, I am my hair. I am all of this.”
Lady Gaga will no doubt be channeling these emotions in her next record.
Exciting news little monsters! I’ve played my new record for my label and will be announcing my new Album Title in September! X
