The ladies love Trey Songz. That much was clear yesterday when the pin-up crooner visited the set of 106 & Park to premiere the video for his latest single “2 Reasons,” featuring rap superstar T.I.

The piercing screams of the largely female contingent could be heard as Songz spoke to host Terrence J about the seriousness of his marathon studio sessions and his women’s clothing line Trey’s Angels, which is due in stores by the end of August.

Songz also hinted at a full-length duet project with his “Heart Attack” collaborator Kelly Rowland and opened up about the back-to-basics inspiration behind his upcoming August 21st album Chapter V.

“It just covers all bases for me,” Songz explained of the project. “As an R&B singer and someone who’s made his career off R&B, I see a lot of guys going in other directions musically and I want to let my core fans know that the core and the essence of what my music has been will always be there.” –Keith Murphy, CBS Local
