2 Chainz has just dropped the video for his latest single “No Lie.” The “Director X” generated clip features Young Money prince Drake firing off chest-beating lines alongside the G.O.O.D. Music rapper.
In a two-fisted black and white video, Drake and 2 Chainz rap together in a corner of a room dripping with a dark substance (blood? paint? chocolate?). At one point in the video the ooze pours over a woman who seems unfazed by it all.
The pairing is eyebrow-raising, given the friction that has existed between G.O.O.D. Music’s Pusha T, Drake, and YMCMB frontman Lil Wayne. Is the 2 Chainz/Drizzy union a sign that the beef may be ending between their respective camps? That part is unclear. But Drake, who is currently involved in the fallout stemming from a bottle-throwing brawl with R&B superstar Chris Brown, has more pressing matters to worry about.

In other 2 Chainz news, the Atlanta spitter, once known as Tity Boi, has landed the cover of the new Fader. In the interview, the ATL rapper discussed his 13-year odyssey in the hip-hop industry and his career-defining MC moniker switch–from Tity Boi to 2 Chainz–which he said doubles as a homonym for “to change.”
2 Chainz’ career rise has been filled with proverbial peaks and valleys. A stalled deal with Luda’s DTP label finally put things in perspective. “After that didn’t do nothing, I was like, ‘Let me figure this s— the f— out,'” he explained to Fader. “Let me go to work.”
