Far East Movement’s new video for “Turn Up The Love” might be your favorite new summer party jam. Hot off the success of their Dirty Bass record and tour with party rockers LMFAO, the band brings another high energy, high swag party with this video.

There are gigantic chains with serious bling, dancing ladies, and clapping breakdowns aplenty in “Turn Up The Love.” Featuring Cover Drive, a Barbados-hailing band, this jam is perfect for hot weather and outdoor parties. Cover Drive’s singer, Karen Amanda Reifer, throws an infectious hook down for the chorus that you might liken to another babe from Barbados: Rihanna. In fact, Cover Drive got their big break opening for Rihanna. Listen to their first single “Lick Ya Down”. Fun fact: the title of that song is not nearly as dirty as you think. It’s just a Bajan (Barbadian) way of saying that you’re going to knock someone out.

You’ll notice a fun dance break in the video and immediately want to try it. You can look to Cover Drive to learn it. The dance is called “Bajan Style” and we think it’s about to make “Turn Up The Love” blow up. This video shows Karen teaching everyone from Rita Orato Pixie Lott, Chipmunk, LMFAO, and T4 the booty shakin’ dance.

The Far East Movement guys counter Karen’s sweet vocals with their trademark individual styles. Boomboxes, ice cream trucks selling bling, and girls everywhere lead up to a big swap meet party complete with a dancing Cherrytree Records soda bottle.

The video was directed by Matt Alonzo, veteran music video master. He’s worked with the likes of Soulja Boy, Ice Cube, and Pitbull. The easy, breezy, colorful clip was shot at a Cherrytree Records Swap Meet and captures the “Bajan” vibe of the islands and summer.
