Some fans will go to any lengths to come into contact with their favorite artists. During Nicki Minaj‘s July 24 performance in Miami, FL, a fan rushed the stage and may have been rushed to the hospital as a result.

Although the fine details are fuzzy at this time, in video taken at the event, a man can be seen rushing the stage and grabbing Nicki before being pushed to the ground by security, kicked by at least one person, and beaten by several others.

This video captures the scene as it unfolded. After running up to Minaj and apparently attempting to give her a hug, the fan was bombarded by security and chased. See video here. 

Minaj kept her cool during the scene, but maybe she was too cool? In the video, she is clearly smiling directly after the incident. She had no problem continuing on with her performance. For the fan, it may not have been so easy to recover. -Ashley Quadros, CBS Local
