Rick Ross is once again king of the charts. The Maybach Music Group boss has claimed his fourth No. 1 with God Forgives, I Don’t, which moved more than 218,000 units in its first week.

It’s Ross’ best first-week sales performance, topping 2008’s Trilla, which snagged the No. 1 spot at 198,000 copies. The Miami rapper had also previously hit No. 1 with 2006’s Port of Miami and 2009’s Deeper Than Rap. Ross’ star-studded God Forgives, I Don’t, which features Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Drake, Andre 3000 and Maybach Music family members Wale and Meek Mill, has become a commercial and critical triumph.

But the impressive figures are also a product of savvy promotion. According to Billboard, the album has so far gained sales momentum as Amazon MP3 offered God Forgives for $5 during the month of August. .
