Wu-Tang Clan founder and producer RZA has announced the lineup for the soundtrack for his upcoming kung-fu flick, The Man With The Iron Fists. Along with top Wu members, he’s recruited an wide range of artists to pack a punch.

There will be music from Kanye West, Pusha-T, Talib Kweli, Corrine Baily Rae, and The Black Keys, as well as Wu members Raekwon, Method Man, and Ghostface Killah.

While there is no mention of an official Wu-Tang reunion, RZA recently spoke on the involvement of the Wu sound.

“We went and got some of The Wu-Tang original songs…we took out a lot of stuff that was in it, and we re-orchestrated it,” RZA explained in a statement. He also outlined his connection with influential 1960s soul label, Stax Records. “Stax also came on board to help us out, and they gave me about 10 of their famous Stax cues, songs from William Bell, from Isaac Hayes, from Mable John. So you’re going to have a great time listening to this movie as a soundtrack.”

The Quentin Tarantino-produced film, which stars Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu and the RZA, will hit the big screen on November 2. The album will be coming out on RZA’s newly formed Soul Temple Records, Due October 23.  —Keith Murphy, CBS Local
