Lil Wayne  has partnered with the Dr. Dre’s highly successful Beats by Dr. Dre imprint to drop his signature Red Pro headphones due out mid October. 

During a Friday night launch party celebrating the release of Weezy’s exclusive listening wear, the Dedication 4 MC was joined by the aforementioned Dre, as well such artists as Wiz Khalifa and French Montana.

Lil Wayne will also release another line of red and black colored headphones, which will be made available at Best Buy, Amazon, and other retailers.

He’s joining a long list of celebrity headphone endorsers. Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and will.i.am have all signed on for their own lines with the Beats Electronic company, which is partially owned by Dr. Dre and Interscope-Geffen-A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine.

The new ventures have given Dre big paydays. The Grammy winning producer recently made Forbes’ “Highest Paid Hip-Hop Earners list, taking in $100 million from his Beats By Dr. Dre line last year.—Keith Murphy, CBS Local
