Should DC put a ban on the sale of sugary drinks over 16 ounces?!

Looks like a DC Council members Michael Brown and Vincent Orange are in favor of banning sugary drinks that are over 16 oz. Recently, in New York City the health board has banned super-sized, sugary drinks at restaurants, cafeterias and concession stands and this ban might be coming to DC as well.

This ban only applies to places that sell prepared food. It does not apply to supermarkets and most convenience stores. Some doctors and nutrition specialists say that this proposal would change our attitudes towards overeating…

Do you agree?!!

Does this mean people will just buy more of the smaller bottles. What do you think?! Would this help our country’s obesity rate?!
