As we all know Hurricane Sandy came through and destroyed quite a bit, especially in NYC. One celebrity that got hit was Amar’e Stoudmire and his family. His fiancee, Alexis Welsh, went to Instagram to show how their Range Rover got messed up in the storm!

The caption read: “Our truck…we are safe and sound….#trulyblessed #statfam”

Thankfully no one was harmed in the damages BUT Amar’e still has it bad! NBA season starts tonight and he is out for SIX weeks from a knee injury. The New York Knick hurt himself during an exhibition game against the Toronto Raptors on Oct 19 and was told at first that it would be two to three weeks until he could get back on the court. This past weekend he was told different as he got a second opinion by his former team doctor from the Phoenix Suns. And unfortunately, the news was even worse then the first prediction.

Six weeks. We’ll see how the NY Knicks can start the season off with out him.
