An image of a woman, allegedly R&B star Keyshia Cole, performing a sexual act has been circulating online. Cole stepped up to scold those who have been promoting the flick and she insisted the woman in the picture is not her.
On Wednesday (November 28), when the image surfaced, Cole batted it away with a breezy tweet.
“Evil a** haters STAY on some bullsh*t! Y’all wish! Lol!” she tweeted. “Let em have fun! They seem to enjoy being filthy, I say let emm talk!”
As the image continued to circulate online today, Cole became more engaged and outspoken.
“People that have no self respect, you worship!,” she tweeted. “Folks that have a child, a husband, hustled from the bottom up, y’all try to tear down. Shame.”
While tweeters did not relent, Cole attempted to appeal to her fans and the relationship she has built with her public over the years.
“I guess all I’ve shown people over the last 10 years I’m a liar and a slut, hugh,” she wrote. “I would never want my son to have to see this filth!”
All of this controversy comes as her Woman To Woman album debuted in the Top Ten sales, logging 96,000 copies in its first week. Cole is also starring in the reality show Keyshia & Daniel: Family First, which shows her life as a mother, wife to basketball player Daniel Gibson, and hard working recording artist.
The X-rated photo and the controversy that surrounded it caused at least one fan to question if Cole would quit Twitter after Chris Brown’s recent departure from the site.
“Can’t deal with @KeyshiaCole deleting her twitter again,” wrote @4everTrei. “I wish she would ignore ignorant people.”
Cole’s reply: “Lamo! that’s not gonna happen.”
