LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC/WPGC) – Eartha Kitt, known best for her 1960’s role as Catwoman, was called “the most exciting woman in the world,” by Orson Welles.
Kitt was born on a cotton plantation in South Carolina in the late 1920’s. She made a name for herself as an actress, singer and cabaret star.
The talented actress went on to be the voice of the villain in Disney’s animated feature “The Emperor’s New Groove” in 2000.
The Emmy-winning actress died in 2008 at the age of 81.
