Is Kanye West the hottest MC in the world? No. Even he’ll tell you that.

But the rapper, whose five solo albums have each gone platinum, says he’s better than seventh.

West recently called a New York radio station to blast his ranking in MTV’s annual “Hottest MCs in the Game” list. He was listed below Nas, Drake, and Big Sean, ranked fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.

“I feel like for them to put me at No. 7, they had to bring up things they didn’t like,” he said.

When asked what about him the MTV panel didn’t like, West responded: “They didn’t like Cruel Summer album. And I’m, like, ‘That’s a compilation. It ain’t all rappers on good music.”

Interestingly, West also thinks he should have received a little more love for buying Sway his first TV. The MTV host responded jokingly on Twitter saying he still needed the remote.

As for who the top MC in the game is, The College Dropout artist feels that honor goes to Lil Wayne.

“Him and Jay and Em are like the greatest rappers of all time,” said West.
