Remember when we thought getting our social media accounts hacked was the end of the world? Now “doxxing” is the latest craze sweeping the Internet.

“Doxxing” is the term describing the posting of celebrities’ and politicians’ financial statements, personal information, credit reports and social security numbers on the Web.

It’s considered a cyber-crime, and can be executed by only obtaining limited information.

Recently, a group of hackers claimed to have published the private personal information from Jay Z, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Michelle Obama, as well as the social security numbers of Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.

The FBI and LAPD continue to investigate.
