New Carrollton Cougars Provide Its Own March Madness

In the midst of March Madness, the New Carrollton Cougars basketball team is giving its fans an impressive show.

In a fierce game against the Silver Hill Bears, the Cougars went on to win Division 2 of Prince George’s County.

The youth league consists of 15- and 16-year-old boys who have a strong passion for athletics.

Finishing with a 10-3 record, the team has decided to begin an AAU team called the “Diamond City Allstars,” led by Coach Felix Wood, Coach Ricardo Gatling and Coach Derrick Gatling. The coaches are eager to begin the new AAU team with their star players Andre Chavis, Diamante Gatlin and Amir Marquett.

The Allstars will soon be looking for community support for sponsorship. Click here for more information.
