Kanye West can’t seem to catch a break from anyone this year.

Not only did Singer Ray-J recently made a song about West’s current girlfriend and soon-to-be mother of his child, Kim Kardashian … but now West is being sued over a sample featured in his 2005 hit single, “Gold Digger.”

The family of the late David Pryor is suing West for sampling Pryor’s music group, Thunder & Lightning, according to MTV News. Thunder & Lightning are the original holders of the clip from the 1974 track, “Bumpin’ Bus Stop.”

Pryor’s children, Trena Steward and Lorenzo Pryor, each own a quarter of “Bumpin’ Bus Stop,” and both are expecting to receive millions of dollars for the copyright infringement.

Are you surprised that a single sample can spark a million dollar lawsuit? Tell us what you think in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
