Imagine a world crime free for 364 days a year and on the 365th day you can commit any crime without any consequences.

From director James DeMonaco (“The Negotiator” and “Assault on Precinct 13″), “The Purge” truly pushes the envelope.

The story line takes you on a 24-hour journey with James Sandin (Ethan Hawke) and his family prior to, and during, the lockdown on the annual Purge Night.

“The Purge” makes you examine all of your core values, stereotypes, and judgments you would face if you were left in a Purge society. This movie truly tests one’s ethical ideals.

The film is rated R for extreme violence; you will jump out of your seat in this intense, action-packed sci-fi film.

Go see “The Purge” if you want to examine your personal beliefs, for you will definitely come away wondering, “What would I do?”

I am giving this movie a heartbeat run of 5 for scaring me and being a thought provoking thriller — it’s a must-see!

See you at the concession stand!
