Adrien Broner Throws a Low Blow … Post-Fight
It seems Adrien Broner isn’t just a champ in the boxing ring, but also in the trash talking (and date-stealing?) department as well.
The 23-year-old boxer spent months bragging about how he would knockout Paulie Malignaggi in the months leading up to Saturday night’s fight at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
After not delivering on his promise but winning in a split decision for the WBC Welterweight belt, Broner delivered one last blow in the post-fight interview, saying “I left with his belt and his girl.”
According to USA Today, Broner teased Malignaggi in the fight’s buildup over an ex-girlfriend, who accompanied Broner to a press conference before the fight.
Malignaggi quickly replied … “Don’t brag about taking my side piece! That’s my side piece!”
Whoa guys … the fight’s over!
Did Broner take it one step too far or did Malignaggi overreact?
