Kevin Hart’s ‘Let Me Explain’ Inspires Musical Collaboration

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Stand-up comedian Kevin Hart’s latest comedic installment has seen tremendous success at the box office.

The comedian’s second film, “Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain,” has grossed more than $20 million nationwide, making it the fourth highest grossing, stand-up concert movie release since 1982.

Some of hip-hop’s heavy hitters have collaborated on an “official” theme song for the movie.

Method Man, Snoop Lion and Erick Sermon take part in the musical compilation, with “let me explain” as the hook.

The video shows the artists rapping their individual verses, with shots of Hart’s stand-up as filler.

Produced by Artist Live Global Village and directed by hip-hop director PhiltheGod, the 3-minute video brings well known artists together to celebrate the success of the film.

“Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain” was filmed at New York’s Madison Square Garden during Hart’s 2012 “Let Me Explain” concert tour, which generated more than $32.7 million in ticket sales.
