LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The 9:30 Club is trying turn lemons into lemonade for federal workers furloughed during the government shutdown.

In email sent by the venue on Monday, the club said they were putting their foot down over the shutdown. And by putting their foot down they mean offering a buy one, get one free ticket deal for a host of shows in October including Steve Aoki with Pharrell Williams and Waka Flocka Flame at Merriweather.

The club is cleverly calling the promotion the “Affordable Ticket Act.”

To get the deal, which is open to everyone regardless of employer, the code 930ATA must be entered at the time tickets are purchased.
