On The Pablo show this morning, we asked how exactly Jay Gruden got his position as head coach of the Redskins. Pablo speculated that it was a group of friends helping each other get the job. Gruden’s brother, Jon Gruden, is a current NFL analyst for ESPN and former head coach with great standing in the NFL.

There’s nothing wrong with that, right? Or is there?

When a friend asks “can you help me get a job at your job,” what’s the first thing you do? Well, if it is a good friend of yours, you have to oblige.

Until you learn a hard lesson.  If you don’t know a friend’s work ethic, it’s better to leave the friendship outside of the work place.

One listener helped her cousin get a job who ended up flirting with coworkers for a higher position and sued the company for harassment. Another had a friend who hooked up with the bosses wife.
