Roc Nation artist J. Cole celebrated his 29th birthday in New York on his “What Dreams May Come” tour.

Kendrick Lamar came out and performed with him along with his idol and mentor Jay Z, who gave Cole his original Roc-A-Fella chain from back in the day.

Cole has plenty to celebrate these days: He announced his new label, “Dreamville,” has done a joint venture with Interscope Records.

On Thursday, fans in the DMV can check out J. Cole performing at Constitution Hall.
