George Zimmerman, who was acquitted for the murder of Trayvon Martin, has elected to fight rapper DMX, according to TMZ.

The Ruff Ryder and actor was selected out of more than 15,000 applicants, all who wanted to enter the ring for their shot at Zimmerman.

The boxing match will be three rounds. Details of the fight, which takes place on March 1, will be announced during a news conference next Wednesday.

George Zimmerman will be giving people a chance to fight him without any repercussions.

Zimmerman was thrust into the spotlight in 2012 and 2013 for the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.  In April 2012, he was charged with murder but 15-months later, was acquitted.  Soon after, protests, rallies and ‘Justice for Trayvon’ campaigns began.  With an acquittal, Zimmerman can no longer be charged for the crimes by the prosecution.

Now, in an effort to raise money for charity, Zimmerman will enter the ring and is open to any opponent.  “I don’t have a preference [on opponent] as long as it goes to charity, doesn’t matter to me. Hopefully someone that won’t hurt me too bad,” Zimmerman said to RadarOnline.  Though he will not release the name of the charity, he admits it is an animal rescue.

Promoter Damon Feldman conducted the search. One of those who answered the call is rapper The Game.  TMZ caught up with the rapper who quickly agreed to the fight.  “I would not be boxing for me.  I’d be boxing for the legacy of Trayvon Martin and for his family,” The Game commented. “I would box him to knock him out,” adding, “I would definitely take pleasure in it.  It’s legal, and I want to show him you can solve your disputes without a weapon.”
