Whether you know Sevyn Streeter by name or not, chances are you’ve at least heard a song she’s written the past few years. The songstress stopped by to talk to Tony Redz about her debut EP Call Me Crazy But… and her success as a songwriter.
The “It Won’t Stop” singer has been in the music game for longer than most realize, being the genius behind hit singles like “All The Way Home” by Tamar Braxton, “The Way” by Ariana Grande, “Yeah 3x” by Chris Brown plus about 12 other of his Fame and Fortune hits. But it doesn’t stop there. She’s also written for Fantasia, Brandy, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, Trey Songz and Estelle.
Now she’s hitting the industry with her brand new EP, Call Me Crazy, But…, a seven-song album that follows the chronology of a relationship from first meeting to break up. The first track “Come On Over,” invites a new person into your life while the following six songs talk anger, pain, love and finally, ending with “nEXt.”
