The U.S. Marshal has taken Chris Brown into custody today, transporting him to Washington, D.C. for pre-trail hearings.

This past week, his lawyers were fighting for him to make the transport without the help of U.S. Marshal services.

Now, Brown is on his way to the capitol to face the misdemeanor assault charges against him after allegedly hitting a man outside the W Hotel.  The U.S. Marshal has not admitted when he will officially make his landing in the Nation’s Capitol.

His original hearing is scheduled for April 17.

He and his bodyguard are accused of assaulting a Beltsville, Md. man outside the hotel after heated words were exchanged and Brown attacked the man.  The victim claims he suffered a broken nose.

This story is developing and WPGC will keep the DMV updated on all the Chris Brown action.
