History will be made this Saturday as the oldest fighter in boxing, Bernard Hopkins, will take on Beibut Shumenov in an epic battle that will air on Showtime.
In his 65th professional fight, Hopkins is the oldest fighter looking to unify belts in the IBF light heavyweight championship. Shumenov is 19 years his junior but the agility of a younger opponent isn’t factoring into Hopkins’ plan.
He doesn’t drink alcohol. He treats his body like a temple. His life is all about discipline.
“History at the Capitol” will take place this Saturday, April 19 at the D.C. Armory. Two other championships will take place the same night.
Tickets are available right now.
