Have you ever been or known someone who is the “other woman” in a love triangle? This week’s movie review features an interesting love triangle that turns into a hysterical comedy.
The Other Woman, directed by Nick Cassavetes, is a comedic tale chronicling what happens when the wife finds out about the other woman… and then the other woman finds out about yet another woman.
The story begins with actress Cameron Diaz who plays Carly, a woman who finds out her new boyfriend has some baggage in the form of a wife. Soon, the wife and mistress meet and form an unlikely friendship. Wife Kate, played by actress Leslie Mann, is a dizzy and emotional wreck and clenches onto Carly from the beginning.
A series of mishaps unfold and a strange bond is formed between the two, but out of this bond, another affair pops up in the form of actress Kate Upton, who plays the vivacious and sultry Amber.
All three women soon realize they have all been played by husband Mark (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and they design a plot to get revenge on the cheater.
This film will have you laughing out loud for 109 minutes at yourself, your friends and one surprise cameo debut.
The Other Woman hits theaters today.
