‘Real Housewives’ Star Apollo Nida Pleads Guilty to Fraud
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida – husband of Phaedra Parks – has pleaded guilty to money fraud after stealing the identities of 50 people and laundering more than $2.3 million.
According to reports, police jumped on Nida in 2013 when he and a group of friends cashed stolen U.S. Treasury and Delta Airlines checks. Once the money cleared, they laundered the money through bank accounts erected by stolen identities.
But it didn’t end there. Reports also claim Nida filed fake tax returns and applied for bank loans against cars he did not own.
On Tuesday, he pled guilty to conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bank fraud.
No word yet on when he will be sentenced.
