As Iggy Azalea continues to top the U.S. charts with “Fancy,” fellow rising rap star Azealia Banks is less than impressed.

After tossing out some less-than-stellar comments about the Australian rapper in the past, Banks vented her frustrations on her Twitter last night, calling hip-hop a “minstrel show” and commenting on the cyclical nature of history.

Her commentary comes as Azalea, who is white, tops both the Billboard Hot 100 and its R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.  Meanwhile, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis caught criticism for the same thing as they topped the charts throughout 2013.

“Society really wants to keep black people upset and confused and feeling like they don’t own anything,” she tweeted, frustrated, last night (June 11). She added: “You can’t beat the white supremacy. But I for damn sure will not join them.”
