There is a photo making its rounds on social media that has everyone bringing up the topic of breastfeeding.  The photo shows a graduate breastfeeding while sitting among other students at the commencement ceremony.

The young woman is 25-year-old Karlesha Thurman from California.  The mother, who got pregnant in her last year of school, received her Accounting degree at Long Beach University. Good for her!

While at the ceremony, her three-month-old daughter Aaliyah became hungry, so she fed her during the ceremony.  Thurman said she let a friend take the picture to show that it’s a natural process.

As the photo began to go viral, a mixture of negative and positive comments began to surface.  Many congratulated Thurman for being courageous and allowing natural human form to take place, while others found the photo obscene.

“I was proud of the fact that not only did I graduate but that I got to share the moment with the one person who is the most important to me and that is my daughter,” she told Today.

The Pablo Show posed the question to DMV audiences: Was she wrong? Should she just have pumped? Or was she doing her job as a mother?
