If there’s one thing everyone can agree on about Chief Keef, it’s that he’s consistent.
When the young Chicago lightning rod drops a video you know what to expect: a bunch of dudes, a bunch of guns, a bunch of blunts, a bunch of sick Glo Gang clothes you wish you owned and a healthy serving of Louis Vuitton luggage.
You can also expect with certainty that Keef will Auto-Tune his voice into oblivion as he provides a braggadocious illustration of life on the wild side.
“Fool Ya” finds Keef particularly energized: he’s really snarling through the Auto-Tuned haze. The way he enunciates certain words —ravioli, for example — is something to behold. The beat is more melodic than some of his work: more “How It Go” than “I Don’t Like.“
Keef’s far from soft, though, if threats to “shoot at your stomach and shoot at your medulla” are any indication.
