Fresh off house arrest, Meek Mill has wasted no time working on new music. All that time confined to his residence has given him time to write and write and write some more.
Meek shared a snippet of a new song on Instagram today (June 21). In the video, he zeroes in on the after show of the NBA Finals, his words lining up with what LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers accomplished. That’s because Meek was apparently so inspired by the Cavs’ comeback from a 3-1 deficit that he wrote this newest track lickety split.
In the video’s caption, Meek wrote to James, “This wasn’t planned the waves just on point.”
On point, indeed. In the untitled song, Meek can be heard rapping, “Remember they said I would lose/ Them n—– was talking that s—/ So f— it we breaking the rules/ All like LeBron in this s—/ Came back off a 3 to 1/ Who would thought I would be the one.”
Meek is hard at work on his Dreamchasers 4 mixtape, which is supposed to drop later this summer. And from the sounds of the track he shared with his followers, it’s going to be a fierce project.
